Contact sports such as American football always give rise to friction between athletes because of the emotions that exist at the time, and if not, ask the Buffalo Bills, who starred in a rare case of fights between teammates. The situation occurred last Saturday during the team’s preparations for the upcoming NFL season.
It all happened during practice that day in what appeared to be play rehearsals, with the altercation starting thanks to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Allen threw the ball and was then hit by defensive lineman Jordan Phillips after the play ended, causing a brief altercation in which his teammates had to intervene.
However, all indications are that this was recurring during practice, as NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo mentioned that some defensive linemen were “picking on” Josh Allen during practice and even made contact before the situation erupted as shown above.
Buffalo Bills center Mitch Morse had some comments regarding the incident, and also mentioned that he’s not sure he’s ever seen a quarterback initiate a similar conflict in the past, but was thankful that Josh Allen was unharmed.
Immediately you want him out of that pile. Emotions are allowed to get high – it’s an emotional sport. Tensions run high at times, but you never want it to be carried over or get carried away and someone can get hurt.

Buffalo Bills Must Turn the Page Quickly
Mitch Morse also added that “in the end it never makes its way to the locker room,” and that it’s just about the competition of the moment, and they had better hope so because the Buffalo Bills have just two more weeks before they play their first game of the NFL preseasonwhich will pit them against the Indianapolis Colts.
Furthermore, such distractions will not be allowed in this 2022/23 NFL season, as the Buffalo Bills are considered by the bookmakers to be the top favorites to win Super Bowl 57, and they will have to be focused week in and week out to live up to expectations.
