At Sam Houston State, emotions will be running high as the 2022 season will be a tune-up for their official entry into the highest subdivision of NCAAF Division I next year.
Although they will be without their 2021 starting quarterback, Eric Schmid, the Bearkats have a couple of interesting options to fill in for him in Keegan Shoemaker and Jordan Yates, who will also have a talented corps of receivers to make the transition easier.

While Haynes King is the favorite to start at quarterback, the position is still up for grabs in a three-way contest amongst three men capable of managing a young but strong group of receivers.
The Aggies’ defense is also very good, and while they have lost some important pieces during the preseason, Texas A&M has a lot of talent on this side of the team, so hopefully they can return to a Bowl after missing the 2021 Gator Bowl due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
