Favorites

Novak Djokovic (Odds -120)

Australian Open 2023 Men's singles predictions, odds, predictions and betting previews

The main favorite for this first Grand Slam of the season is the most recent winner of the ATP 250 tournament in Adelaide 2023 and 21-time major tournament champion, Novak Djokovic. After he was unable to participate last year and was deported from Australia, the unvaccinated visitor restrictions were lifted, and he will be able to compete in this tournament.

Although he has not had much opportunity to compete, in 2022 he was Wimbledon champion and continues to be one of the most impressive players in all the tournaments in which he takes part.

Daniil Medvedev (Odds +600)

In second place we have world No. 8, and former No. 1, Daniil Medvedev. The Russian player had a complicated season in 2022, as, although he had a good start to the year, he quickly missed many opportunities to participate in tournaments due to his nationality and the international conflicts between Russia and Ukraine.

Last year he was a finalist at the Australian Open, where he lost to Spaniard Rafael Nadal in an impressive match. For these reasons, he is our second favorite for this Grand Slam.

Rafael Nadal (Odds +1400)

Australian Open 2023 Men's singles predictions, odds, predictions and betting previews

Rafael Nadal, who has won 22 Grand Slam tournaments to date, is of course someone we cannot forget. He is the current defending Australian Open champion, and at No. 2 in the world, he is perhaps the player with the best chance of winning the trophy.

However, he ended last year with several difficulties, including an abdominal injury and a foot injury that prevented him from competing at the highest level. Beyond this, he’s the most dominant player on the circuit so far and is certain to reach the final rounds.

Sleeper Picks

Stefanos Tsitsipas (Odds +1400)

Australian Open 2023 Men's singles predictions, odds, predictions and betting previews

Our first sleeper pick is Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the world No. 4. During 2022 he won two titles, one at the ATP Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo, and the other at the ATP 250 in Mallorca.

At the Australian Open 2022 he reached the semifinal round, where he lost to Daniil Medvedev in four sets. He did, however, make it to a number of finals where Novak Djokovic soundly defeated him, giving him an excellent chance to advance farther in the competition.

Nick Kyrgios (Odds +1600)

Another legend that will be at the Australian Open in 2023 is Nick Kyrgios. In addition to playing at home, he has also had outstanding success in Grand Slam competitions over the past two years, so it’s only a matter of time before he gets a championship.

In 2022, he was a finalist at Wimbledon and reached the quarterfinals at the US Open. Additionally, he won the men’s doubles tournament at the Australian Open and the US Open. Considering all of this, it’s more than evident that his level has improved considerably and that he is one of the most expected for this year’s edition.

Dark Horse

Jannik Sinner (Odds +2000)

Finally, we have Italy’s Jannik Sinner, who already has six professional titles to his name, with his most recent being in Croatia in 2022. He made it to the quarterfinals in three of the four Grand Slam competitions last season (Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open).

Due to a finger injury, he was unable to complete the season on the best note, but he is expected to play in this year’s Australian Open and will surely be one of the players to watch.

JefeBet Prediction

Even though his career has been rocky and controversial so far, this tennis player recently changed the focus of his training, which allowed him to win his first Grand Slam in the doubles division and advance to the final of another tournament. So, considering his current performance, it’s very likely that Nick Kyrgios will win his maiden major championship at the 2023 Australian Open given that he will be playing at home.

We already know who the favorites are; it’s now your turn to bet, and BetMGM is the best option. You are welcome to read our review of this sportsbook here.
