Betting on the Creighton Bluejays
- Regular Season Record: 17-8
Creighton is still smoking. The Bluejays snatched yet another win over the weekend, toppling the UConn Huskies in a 56-53 home win. The Bluejays have now extended their current undefeated streak to eight games which actually started when they downed the Friars last January in Omaha, 73-67.
Center Ryan Kalkbrenner led Creighton in that win over Providence, as he scored 21 points with seven rebounds and four blocks in 36 minutes. The Bluejays can get things done on both ends of the floor, which makes them so difficult to figure out. Creighton, which is 11-3 in Big East play is 3-4 in road games this season but is 5-4 against top 25 AP teams.
Creighton has covered the spread in four of its last seven games, during which the total has also gone Under five times.
Betting on the Providence Friars
- Regular Season Record: 18-7
Providence suffered a 73-68 road loss to the St. John’s Red Storm last Saturday despite a massive game from forward Bryce Hopkins, who dropped 29 points on 10/20 shooting from the field, including a 3/3 line from behind the arc.
As a team, Providence just faltered offensively, with the Friars making just 33.3 percent of their attempts from the floor. It was just that kind of day for Providence, but they can be better this Tuesday as they will be playing in front of their home crowd. On the season, Providence owns an immaculate 13-0 record straight up in true home games. In their last home game, the Friars took down the Georgetown Hoyas on Feb. 8, 74-62. Hopkins scored 20 points in the first meeting with Creighton.
Providence is 6-2 ATS in its last eight games as the home team.
JefeBet Prediction
Providence is just a different animal when it’s playing at home this season. That being said, the Bluejays are more consistent regardless of location. Going with Creighton here.
Prediction: Creighton ML.
