Betting on the Miami Heat
- Regular Season Record: 44-38
The Heat stunned Milwaukee in Game 1 of their series last Sunday with a resounding 130-117 victory on the road. Winning the series opener, especially for a road team, is always a big deal in the playoffs, so expect Miami to be brimming with confidence in Game 2 — and that’s even though they will be playing without Tyler Herro.
The shooting guard suffered a broken right-hand injury in Game 1, which means Miami will be minus one of its most reliable scorers. That said, the Heat are not known for their offensive prowess. They should still be able to parade a stout defense. Speaking of which, the Heat could be dealing with a lighter load on defense in Game 2 with Giannis Antetokounmpo suffering an injury in Game 1. The Heat are top 10 in the NBA in adjusted defensive rating.
Betting on the Milwaukee Bucks
- Regular Season Record: 58-24
As mentioned earlier, the Bucks saw Giannis Antetokounmpo suffer an injury in Game 1 that forced him to miss the entire second half of that contest. The good news for the Bucks is that results of X-rays of his back did not reveal any serious damage, so there’s a chance that he will be available to play in Game 2.
If he gets ruled out, the Bucks have the depth up front to capably cover for his absence. Bobby Portis showed just that when he scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Game 1 across 27 minutes. Khris Middleton poured in 33 points on 12/20 shooting in the series opener. Jrue Holiday and Brookl Lopez are also healthy, with the former aching to give it a go again after a 6/18 shooting performance (16 points) in Game 2. There’s still a lot to like about the Bucks going into Game 2.
JefeBet Prediction
With or without Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Buckcs smash Miami for a convincing win in Game 2.
Prediction: The Bucks win, 111-99.
