Betting on the Minnesota Timberwolves

Anthony Edwards put the Timberwolves on his back and carried them to a 114-108 overtime win at home in Game 4 to ensure that they’re not going to get shut out in the series against Denver. Edwards exploded for 35 points last Sunday, shooting 12/27 from the field with five 3-pointers, five assists, six rebounds, two steals, and three blocks in an all-around effort. “He’s not afraid of those moments at this point in time,” Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch said of Edwards.
But the Timberwolves will have to get more, especially from Karl-Anthony Towns, who only had 17 points, albeit with 11 rebounds in Game 4. Outside of Edwards (32.3 PPG), no other Timberwolves player is averaging more than 17 points in the series. Nevertheless, Minnesota has covered the spread in four of its last five outings versus a team that allowed more than 100 points a game before.
Betting on the Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets certainly are frustrated over their inability to close out the series the fastest way possible, but at least they’re still ahead by three games and can get the job done at home this coming Tuesday. Denver didn’t shoot very well in Game 4, making just 44.2 percent of their shots from the field and only went 12/35 from deep.
Jamal Murray also scored only 19 points on 21 shots. The good news for Denver is that a home game is coming up, so the Nuggets should be much more comfortable with their shots. Denver is also still shooting 50 percent from the field in the first round. Despite their clunky shooting last Sunday, the Nuggets managed to force overtime and come close to a sweep. The Nuggets are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games after a defeat.
