Tsarukyan got back to his winning ways following a unanimous decision loss to Mateusz Gamrot in June 2022 by scoring a unanimous decision win himself in December against Damir Ismagulov in the undercard of UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland. Both of Tsarukyan’s losses in the UFC came via decisions.
Tsarukyan turned plenty of heads when he scored back-to-back knockout victories by downing Christos Giagos and Joel Alvarez before running into Gamrot in a loss that spoiled his momentum. Nevertheless, Tsarukyan is a threat standing up and on the ground, as he’s got a 7-1 KO record and a 5-0 submission ledger. He also owns what seems to be an elite takedown defense having avoided 75 percent of his opponents’ attempts of bringing him down to the mat.
