Betting on the Los Angeles Dodgers (-195)
Tony Gonsolin will give it a try again. Gonsolin got roughed by the Houston Astros in his last start on June 25, surrendering four earned runs to the reigning World Series champs on five hits (two home runs) in five innings of a 6-5 home loss. Prior to that, he got lit up for seven runs on six hits in 5.2 innings of a 7-3 loss at Dodger Stadium to the San Francisco Giants.
Well, he is going to pitch on the road this time around, so perhaps a change in scenery could be the cure to the recent struggles of the 29-year-old Gonsolin, who has a 1-1 record with a 2.16 ERA and an opponents’ batting average of .156 in five starts, so far in the 2023 MLB regular season. It is also worth noting that the entire current roster of the Royals is 0-for-17 all-time against Gonsolin.

Brady Singer has not picked up a win since early June, but he is coming off a solid start. Against the Cleveland Guardians last Tuesday at home, Singer hit the right notes and pitched six scoreless innings with only four hits allowed to go with three strikeouts, albeit in a 2-1 loss.
That performance improved his season ERA from 6.34 to 5.88 – still not good to look at, but definitely is a step in the right direction for the 26-year-old righty, who is 2-4 with a 5.15 ERA in 10 starts at Kauffman Stadium this year, thus far.
