Betting on the Pittsburgh Pirates (+205)
Osvaldo Bido will try netting his first win in the big leagues again this Wednesday night. He has picked up a no-decision in his last most recent start in which he got tagged for four earned runs on four hits with a walk issued in 3.1 innings of action, albeit with the Pirates still coming away with a victory to the tune of an 8-7 score.
It was actually the first time that the Pirates won a game in which Bido made an appearance so that’s at least one positive sign. The Pirates are also 6-1 in their last seven games against teams from the National League West division after their 9-7 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday. One thing the Pirates learned from that game is that the Dodgers’ shaky bullpen will always give LA opponents a chance to make noise at the plate. The Over is 3-0-1 in the Pirates’ last four games following a victory.

It’s back to the drawing board for the Dodgers, who are reeling from such a disappointing loss Tuesday night. Bobby Miller will look to lead his team back to its winning ways when he makes his first start of the month later tonight. The Dodgers are 2-0 in Miller’s two most recent starts, including their 9-3 win at Kauffman Stadium last Friday over the Kansas City Royals.
In that game, Miller surrendered three earned runs on five hits with a walk and four strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work. The Dodgers’ offense seems to have come alive in Miller’s last few starts, with the team scoring at least seven runs in three of his last four appearances. Mookie Betts has batted an insane .550 with four home runs and 10 RBIs in his last seven games. Jason Heyward has hit .455 with four RBIs and two walks over the same span.
