Craig just wants to put a stop to his losing streak, as he’s dropped his last two fights. He lost to Volkan Oezdemir in June 2022 via unanimous decision and then ran into a Johnny Walker in January of this year, losing that fight knockout.
Despite the setbacks, Craig is still ranked No. 9 in the division because his last two bouts were in the light heavyweight division. Before his loss to Oezdemir, Craig put together six unbeaten fights in a row, which included sensational wins against current light heavyweight champ Jamahal Hill and former champ Mauricio Rua. Most of Craig’s victories have been through submissions (13) and lost just once in the same manner.

Muniz can’t wait to get back inside the Octagon just months after seeing his impressive win streak come to an end. The 33-year-old Brazilian stitched together a nine-fight win streak before suffering a submission loss at the hands of Brendan Allen last February during the headline bout of UFC Fight Night: Muniz vs. Allen.
While that loss sets Muniz back, it has not significantly damaged his stock in the middleweight division. A win against Craig will put him back on track toward his goal of scoring a title fight, and he is a threat to do with his grappling skills. He has a 15-1 submission record. He is averaging 2.95 takedowns per 15 mins in the UFC and has a higher takedown success rate (36%) than Craig (20%).
