Fresh off a stint in the Super Bowl, the Eagles will prove that their 2022 campaign was no fluke even if it ended without them raising the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Philadelphia was exceptionally balanced on both sides of the field last year, ranking second in scoring offense with 29.1 points per game and seventh with just 19.8 points allowed per contest.
The Eagles have welcomed new faces in the offseason, including Marcus Mariota, who is now considered as Jalen Hurts’ top backup. Running backs D’Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny have also arrived in the City of Brotherly Love. But the Eagles might be more interested in rookie defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who was once considered as the top prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft. Carter is quite an addition to Philly’s defense that was seventh in the league last year with a 7.68 percent defensive sack rate.

If there’s one thing you need to know about the Ravens and preseason games, it’s that they haven’t lost in such contests for several years now. In fact, the last time they dropped a preseason game was way back in 2015 when Jackson was still a freshman with the Louisville Cardinals. Speaking of Jackson, he got the bag in the offseason with a monster contract with the Ravens, but he’s paid that kind of money to lead the way for the team in the regular season and playoffs – not in preseason contests.
With that said, expect Tyler Huntley, Josh Johnson, and Anthony Brown to shoulder the chores of running Baltimore’s offense on the field. And given how the team has fared in the preseason in years past, it’s not hard to imagine them taking care of business even without their most important player on the field versus a bunch of backups this Saturday.
