O’Malley (16-1-0) can’t just be counted out, though, even though he’s not much of a grappler. He is a lethal and talented striker whose got real power as well. O’Malley has 11 of his 16 wins coming via knockouts.
Prediction: O’Malley wins via KO.
Weili Zhang (-330) vs Amanda Lemos (+240)
Women’s Strawweight
Zhang is the overwhelming favorite in this upcoming bout for a reason: She is the reigning champ. Zhang successfully defended her belt with a knockout win over Marina Rodriguez last November to improve to 23-3-0. She has an 11-1 T/KO record and an 8-0 submission slate. Lemos is coming in with a 13-2-1 record. She is also a dangerous striker and a capable grappler with eight knockouts and three submission wins to her name.
Prediction: Zhang wins via KO.
Neil Magny (+240) vs Ian Garry Odds (-298)
Welterweight
Ranked No. 11 in the welterweight division, Magny will look to capitalize on a chance to fight the undefeated Garry, who was originally scheduled to face Geoff Neal. Magny (20-8-11) has some momentum, having pulled off a split-decision win over Phil Rowe last June. Garry is 13th in the division and, as mentioned, without a loss to date in his pro career. He is 12-0-0, with seven of his wins coming via knockouts.
Prediction: Garry wins via KO.
Marlon Vera (-185) vs Pedro Munhoz (+154)
Bantamweight
Months after losing to Cory Sandhagen via split decision last March, Vera will look to recover as he takes on Munhoz, who, on the other hand, won his most recent bout. Munhoz scored a unanimous decision win last April. Vera is 20-8-1 with eight knockout wins and eight submission victories. Munhoz is 20-7-0 with 13 combined knockout and submission wins.
Prediction: Vera wins via split decision.
