Betting on the Buffalo Bills (-6.5)

After getting stunned by the New York Jets in Week 1, Josh Allen and the Bills flexed their muscles in Week 2 and showed everyone why they are considered a top contender to win the Super Bowl in a 38-10 demolition of the Las Vegas Raiders. Allen passed for 274 yards and three touchdowns on 31/37 completions while James Cook cooked the Raiders for 123 rushing yards on 17 carries.
That’s the type of showing many expected Buffalo to have when up against middle and lower-tier teams. Washington is doing fine at the moment, but the Bills are the favorite to win in Week 3 despite being the road team because that’s how much respect the public has for Allen and company. But it’s not just Allen and the offense. Buffalo’s defense is also looking sharp, with Matt Milano extending his streak to three consecutive games with an interception.
Betting on the Washington Commanders (+6.5)
Regular season record: 2-0
Are the Commanders for real? We might not have seen enough from Washington to answer that conclusively, but the Commanders certainly deserve respect for starting the season with back-to-back victories following wins over the Arizona Cardinals (20-16) at home in Week 1 and against the Denver Broncos (35-33) on the road in Week 2.
Sam Howell is showing glimpses of a potential future franchise quarterback for Washington. He passed for 299 yards and two touchdowns on 27/39 passing in the Broncos game, though, the offensive line of Washington has to be better after allowing four sacks to Denver. Speaking of which, Washington’s defense produced seven sacks in Week 2 and also had an interception and a coaxed fumble. The Commanders are allowing just 304.5 total yards per game – 10th-best in the NFL this season.
