The 2022 NFL Draft is getting more and more interesting because of the names of prospects that will participate in it. Another player recently added to the draft is Aidan Hutchinson, a defensive wing from the University of Michigan.

Aidan Hutchinson joins a long list of players from whom anyone might be taken as a first-round choice in this year’s NFL Draft, which features a slew of high prospects that any team would be eager to check out.

This is currently the list of players who have confirmed their participation in the 2022 Draft:

So far, there has been an absence of quarterbacks in the Draft, with only Malik Willis and Matt Corral being the players to play the position. Other players at that position such as Desmond Ridder (Cincinnati), Sam Howell (North Carolina) and Kenny Pickett (Pittsburgh) were all expected to be among the picks to be considered for first-round, but none have emerged as draft picks so far.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will have the first pick in this 2022 Draft, while the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans will have the second and third picks, respectively. Behind them will be the New York Jets and the New York Giants, who will have the fourth and fifth picks.

Aidan Hutchinson’s numbers

While Aidan Hutchinson has missed several games in two of his four seasons in college football with the Michigan Wolverines, 2022 was undoubtedly his best year. Hutchinson piled up 36 tackles, while assisting on 26 others. In addition, he recorded a total of 14 quarterback takedowns, the most he has ever made in a single season in his entire career in the sport.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are projected to be the first team to express interest in Hutchinson as a first-round pick, and properly so, given the Jaguars allowed 26.9 points per game in the NFL’s 2021 season. A player with the skill set of the defensive lineman would be ideal for them.

However, Aidan Hutchinson paid an official visit to the Detroit Lions’ offices on Monday, showing the team’s interest in him if he is not taken by the Jaguars as a first-round choice. The athlete would certainly see this move in a good light, given that he would continue to play in the same state where he began his career, with only 86 miles separating East Lansing and the city of Detroit.
