In the first stage, which started in Copenhagen, the Belgian Yves Lampaert, of Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl, surprised by taking the best time trial and wearing the maillot jaune for the first time. He beat favorites Wout van Aert and Tadej Pogacar by 5 and 7 seconds.
This time trial was 13.2 km long. Van Aert clocked 15’22” and Pogacar 15’24”. However, shortly after, Laporte fell and Lampaert surprised with an unbeatable time of 15’17”.
Stage 2: Roskilde > Nyborg
How the 2022 Tour de France is going: this stage, the second, was 202.2 km long and flat. The winner was Fabio Jakobsen (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl), who, as the Tour calls him, is the most effective sprinter in the world. Wout van Aert came in second and overtook Lampaert to take the yellow jersey.
On the other hand, Magnus Cort was crowned the first leader of the Mountain classification on the Côte d’Hove Straede (fourth category, km 72.5) and the Côte de Karup Strandbakke (also fourth category, km 84).

On the third day of the Tour, another flat 182 km stage took place, and the victory went to Dutchman Dylan Groenewegen (BikeExchange). Wout van Aert came in second place and still holds the yellow jersey by 6 seconds.
In addition, Cort keeps his points jersey of the mountain leader. However, 10 km from the finish there was a massive crash due to a narrowing of the road that significantly affected the peloton and, finally, the group arrived without major complications or losses.
