Saul Canelo Alvarez expressed his disdain for his next opponent, Gennady Golovkin, during an interview with TMZ.

Canelo Álvarez and Golovkin will complete the trilogy of fights on September 17 at the T-Mobile in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will happen four years after their last duel in the ring and everything seems to indicate that the cordiality has ended between the two boxers, and now they will go all out.

They have two months before they walk back into the ring and fight again, but they are already dialing up the tension with insults.

The Mexican boxer recently gave an interview to the U.S. media TMZ and did not hold anything back about what he thinks of the Kazakh fighter.

More than making his rival look bad, Canelo Alvarez wants to unmask Golovkin because he doesn’t believe he is the guy he claims to be: he believes he is a fake and a liar.

This is what Canelo Alvarez thinks of GGG

He’s a fucking asshole. He’s not honest. He pretends to be a good person and to be different, but he is not. He talks a lot of shit about me. He says: ‘I respect him, his career’ and in other parts he’ll say ‘he’s an embarrassing boxer, he’s embarrassing for Mexican boxing.’ I hate him for that.

Canelo Alvarez holds nothing back against Gennady Golovkin

Canelo Alvarez had been respectful and in the past said he had nothing personal against GGG; however, now his opinion has changed and he now admits to feel hatred for the Kazakh.

He also confessed that he has a target for his third fight against Golovkin:

My goal is to finish this fight before the 12 rounds.

With this, the Mexican has made it clear that he wants to knock out his opponent.

He also talked about a possible rematch against Russian Dmitry Bivol, who defeated him in his last fight.

I’m 100% focused on this fight (with Golovkin) because it’s a dangerous fight, but I’m looking for a second fight with Bivol.

The first fight between these two boxers took place on September 16, 2017 and ended in a unanimous decision draw.

The second fight was a year later, on September 15, 2018, and on that occasion the victory went to Canelo Alvarez by majority decision.

Since then, boxing fans have been asking for a rematch and finally this September it will come.
