Top 5 Goals of Day 1 in Liga MX Apertura 2022

Day 1 of the 2022 Apertura in Liga MX was full of excitement, as expected, and also featured a total of 29 goals, including a stunning bicycle kick goal.

Some Liga MX teams kicked off the Apertura 2022 offering the fans a lot of goals from Day 1, regardless of the result. Some were fortunate enough to get the three points thanks to their collective performance, while others know that they will have to make changes to turn things around.

In the case of the players, it was clear that some were more inspired than others, as they scored in amazing ways.

5. Rafael Baca – Cruz Azul

Rafael Baca opened the scoring at minute 16 to give Cruz Azul the lead over Tigres. It was not an ordinary goal: the player took the ball inside the area after several rebounds and hit it immediately with his right foot, leaving the rival goalkeeper with no chance. Finally, Cruz Azul won by a score of 2-3 in Day 1 of the Apertura 2022.

4. Rodrigo Aguirre – Monterrey

Uruguayan Rodrigo Aguirre made his debut as Rayados’ goalscorer in the match against Santos on Day 1 of Liga MX, a match that saw a total seven goals, with the “Guerreros” winning 4-3. Aguirre scored Monterrey’s second goal of the match and left everyone open-mouthed. He received a pass into space just inside the area and used the “sombrerito” technique to score.

3. Leonardo Fernández – Toluca

Leo Fernandez gave Toluca an early lead. In the 3rd minute, the player took a free kick, using the magic of his left leg. The ball bounced in the area and went into the goal. Toluca defeated Necaxa 1-3 in Day 1 of the Liga MX Apertura 2022.

2. Eduard Bello – Mazatlan FC

Venezuelan Eduard Bello had an outstanding performance for Mazatlan in a 2-4 loss to Puebla. The man scored the goal that allowed the “Cañonero” team to get back into the game after having fallen behind 0-2. Bello entered the area, received a cross and dove to make contact with the ball and send it into the net.

1. Avilés Hurtado – Pachuca

The most inspired player of Day 1 of the Apertura 2022 was Avilés Hurtado. The Colombian had a hand in both goals as Pachuca defeated Querétaro. In the first half he provided an assist for Nicolás Ibáñez to open the scoring, but in the second half he scored a bicycle kick to make it 2-0.
