MLS Week 24 will bring us midweek games, so we don’t have to wait until the weekend to enjoy good soccer. There will only be six games in which the teams will try to score points in order to improve their position in the general classification.

After this matchday, there will only be 10 dates left in the regular phase of the MLS, so the playoff spots will begin to close, and only the best teams will be able to be there. The degree of difficulty increases as the season progresses, and while some are already solid in the standings, others are struggling to find the formula for consistency.

At JefeBet, we recommend you the games you can’t miss these days August 2 and 3 in Week 24 of the MLS.

Top MLS Week 24 Matches and Predictions

Columbus Crew vs. Montreal

Columbus Crew did not participate over the weekend as their game was rescheduled, so they have several days of rest. It has nine matches without losing and will try to extend that positive streak in this home game. It is the third team with the fewest losses in the Eastern Conference so far, with seven wins, nine ties and five losses.

Montreal salvaged a goalless draw against New York City FC to reach three matches without defeat. This allows them to continue fighting among the first places in the Eastern Conference, with 11 wins, three ties, and eight losses in 22 games played.

This match will be played on Wednesday, August 3 at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific time) at Lower-com Field. The favorite for this match will be Columbus, which will be at home and also has a streak to keep up.

Prediction: Columbus Crew Win.

Portland Timbers vs. Nashville

Portland Timbers have not lost since May, giving them a total of eight matches unbeaten on the season. They recently drew 4-4 against Minnesota United, but they are in playoff positions and will try to keep that place, but for that they need to keep adding points.

Nashville SC comes here after getting two draws in a row, and despite missing three points, the fact that they haven’t dropped points keeps them inside the playoff spots in the Western Conference.

This match will be played on Wednesday, August 3 at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific time) at Providence Park. These teams are zone rivals and only one point separates them in the standings, but considering both performances, we can expect a draw.

Prediction: Tie.

New York Red Bulls vs. Colorado Rapids

After two difficult games, the New York Red Bulls managed to return to victory in their last match. The New York squad has slipped from the top of the Eastern Conference, but remains in the top five after 10 wins, six ties and six losses in 22 games.

The Colorado Rapids are living a different reality, and, in order to aspire to make it to the playoffs, they need to avoid making so many mistakes in the next few games. They are coming off a 2-1 loss to the Seattle Sounders, their ninth loss in 21 games, and are currently in second-to-last place in the Western Conference.

This match will be played on Tuesday, August 2 at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific time) at the Red Bull Arena. In addition to being the home team here, New York Red Bulls is the team with the best current form, and is expected to be the winning team.

Prediction: New York Red Bulls Win.

Seattle Sounders vs. FC Dallas

The Seattle Sounders have had many ups and downs this season. They are the third team in the Western Conference with the most losses, with nine wins, two ties and 11 losses in 22 games played. They come into this game on the heels of a 2-1 loss to LAFC and are in desperate need of points to get into the playoff places.

FC Dallas is one of the top four teams in the Western Conference and comes here with two consecutive wins and a total of three unbeaten games. They will be looking to extend that favorable streak in this match to try to climb at least one position.

This match will be played on Tuesday, August 2 at 7:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) at Lumen Field. Despite being the visitors, Dallas is the favorite to take the three points, as it is the better of the two teams.

Prediction: FC Dallas Wins.
