During MLB‘s Wednesday, April 13, it was learned that Trevor Bauer‘s administrative leave was extended once again, this time until April 22, according to CBS Los Angeles. As it has been customary since the delicate process began, the decision was made by the league and the Major League Baseball Players Association.
This news serves to confirm that the Los Angeles Dodgers’ star starter will remain absent for the first month of the 2022 MLB season after being accused of sexual assault by a female resident of the state of California.
Let’s keep in mind that the National League Cy Young winner in 2020 has not been on a major league mound since June 29 of last year when he was in the midst of a brilliant stint as the figurehead of the Dodgers’ rotation.
The truth is that the prosecutors in charge of the case could not prove that the pitcher committed any illegal act with the woman in question, so it seems to be a matter of time before he could be back as part of a Dodgers rotation that once again has Walker Buehler and Clayton Kershaw as main figures.
For his part, Bauer on more than one occasion has stated that on several occasions he had consented sexual relations with the accusing woman.

The 31-year-old pitcher was unable to complete last season with the Dodgers, but he put up very good numbers that confirm his label as a Cy Young-winning pitcher, an award he won while wearing the Cincinnati Reds uniform.
