Draymond Green is one of the most eye-catching players in the NBA. The Golden State Warriors small forward is not only considered one of the best defenders in the history of the league, but also one of the most irreverent and crazy in the entire circuit. His personality leads us to see something different from him in every occasion, and his actions on the field have become one of the most important viral spotlights since he arrived in the league in the 2012-2013 season.

For that very reason, here at JefeBet we want you to enjoy a little bit of Green’s follies. Even though these are endless, here are some of the most relevant ones.

5. Expelled due to… yelling at his partner?

Draymond Green is notorious for not only expressing his displeasure with opponents or referees, but also for complaining to his teammates without hesitation. In the 2020-21 season, the victim was rookie James Wiseman, with whom Green was less than pleased after a turnover.

The problem was that while the player was yelling at Wiseman, one of the referees took it personally and booted Green to everyone’s disbelief. Give a dog a bad name and hang him, as some would say. After the match, the referees admitted their mistake, but Wiseman was still scolded and Green was sent off.

4.- Technical foul after his first NBA basket.

Draymond Green is not known for his offense, and while he has improved in recent years, he was quite poor in it early in his career. Proof of this is that the Warriors’ player had to wait until his eighth NBA game to get his first basket. And while at that moment everything should have been joy and happiness, Green was already beginning to shape his career in the circuit and would be punished with a technical foul after complaining to the referee. What a way to celebrate, very Draymond style.

3.- Enjoying the love of the fans in Cleveland

Draymond Green was in Cleveland for the All-Star Game festivities for the 2021-2022 season: his fourth such event in one of the cities where he is the least popular in the entire United States. Let’s recall that Golden State won three of four Finals over the Cavaliers, and Cleveland fans remember it well. While they showed him how little love they have for him, Green just encouraged them to give him more love while he just smiled. He is a very affectionate player.

2.- Goodbye and thank you, Nikola Jokic

The Warriors defeated the Denver Nuggets last week in the first round series of the NBA Playoffs, with Draymond Green being one of the main figures thanks to a defensive master class against last season’s MVP, Nikola Jokic. The Serbian player could not find a way to beat Green, and during the second game of the series, his frustration reached such a point that he was expelled for a double technical. This is something that of course pleased the Warriors’ player, who was quick to say goodbye and bid farewell to his beloved rival.

And while we might think Green wouldn’t want to talk about Jokic, we can all agree that he’s a very unique guy. Case in point, after winning the series, on his show The Draymond Green Show (yes, Draymond has a show) he thanked Jokic for making him a better defender. He’s a true character.

1. Draymond Green, happy about his expulsion

Draymond Green’s latest stunt is one of his best in the NBA. On Sunday, in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinal against the Memphis Grizzlies, he was ejected for an alleged Grade 2 flagrant foul on Brandon Clarke. While the social networks could not believe the referees’ strong judgment, Green tried to demonstrate the absurdity of the decision by running around the FedEx Forum with a big smile and saying goodbye to the Memphis fans, who did not know whether to laugh or applaud the gesture of the eloquent player.

It is worth noting that it was nowhere near a flagrant foul, let alone a second-degree foul, something Green himself tried to explain by pointing out that what he was doing was holding Clarke so he wouldn’t fall. Physical integrity first and foremost.
