The Dodgers closed out the first half of the season like a house on fire, as they won all of their last four games before the MLB All-Star break. Can they stay hot? That will mostly be in the hands of Julio Urias, who is looking to pick up his second win in a row. In his most recent mound appearance, Urias held the Pittsburgh Pirates to just two runs on three hits, while also racking up eight strikeouts in 6.0 innings of a 5-2 victory at home on July 7.
The Dodgers, who are fourth in the entire big leagues with a +76.0 total run differential, have won in four of Urias’ last six starts. The Dodgers will get to see the likes of Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman returning from All-Star duties. Betts has been smoking hot of late, batting .405 with seven home runs in his last 12 games. Freeman also hit .340 with three homers over the same span.

Betting on the New York Mets (-105)
Unlike the Dodgers, the Mets are on a losing skid, having lost their last two outings before the All-Star break. But before that mini-tailspin, the Mets were on a hot stretch, winning six games in a row. On the mound for the Mets this coming Friday is all-timer Justin Verlander. The three-time Cy Young Award winner is also on a roll. In his last two starts, Verlander allowed just two earned runs on 10 hits with eight strikeouts across 13.0 total innings of mound duty for the Mets, who have a collective earned run average of 4.39.
On offense, the Mets are hoping that Francisco Alvarez still has it. Alvarez hit .324 with five home runs and 10 RBI in his last 11 games. Francisco Lindor also batted .340 with four home runs and seven RBIs in his last 12 games. Speaking of home runs, New York is eighth in the MLB with 1.32 homers per contest.
