The 2022 Wyndham Championship will bring together an extended list of golfers that will participate in this tournament at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. This event marks the end of the 2021-22 PGA Tour regular season, so everyone will strive to finish on a high note.

However, the expectations that lie on some of the players are quite high for this tournament, and here at JefeBet we invite you to review with us the main favorites to lift the trophy, as well as other golfers who could be the ones to talk about as the competition takes place.

Betting Preview for the PGA Tour 2022 Wyndham Championship

Where: Sedgefield Country Club, Greensboro, North Carolina

When: Wednesday, August 3rd – August 7th

Favorites

Shane Lowry (Odds +1800)

Lowry’s consistency throughout this 2022 sees him start this Wyndham Championship 2022 as one of the clear favorites to take the trophy. The Irishman has finished outside the top 30 only twice in his 15 tournament appearances this season.

Shane Lowry begins this week ranked 27th in the FedEx Cup, and with the opposition he will face in this event, he is projected to be among the best in the final round.

Will Zalatoris (Odds +1800)

Another one of the top three favorites is Will Zalatoris, who is also in a good position in the FedEx Cup ranking (#11), and will hope that this visit to Greensboro will be the one in which he manages to get his first victory on the PGA tour.

However, Zalatoris’ latest performance could put his chances in doubt, as he barely made the cut in Detroit last week but still managed to finish in 20th place, the second consecutive time he has finished between #20 and #30 after his participation in The Open (#28).

Sung Jae-Im (Odds +1800)

Sung Jae-Im started this 2021/22 season on the right foot by winning the Shiriners Children’s Open in October, and while that has been his only win so far, the Korean has remained relevant on the circuit.

From the Masters to the Memorial Tournament, Im recorded four consecutive Top 21 finishes, and his last appearance was a second-place finish at the 3M Open. In this way, he will feel certainly ready for the challenge he faces this time around.

Sleeper Picks

Si Woo Kim (Odds +2800)

Si Woo Kim will be delighted to return to the Wyndham Championship, since Sedgefield Country Club has been like a second home to him in his career. The Korean already won this tournament in 2016, and has consistently placed among the top five golfers in his appearances since then.

His last appearance was a 14th place finish at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit, which means he has strung together three consecutive top 15 finishes, so he comes into this tournament on a good footing.

Joohyung Kim (Odds +3500)

Another Korean who had an outstanding performance at the Rocket Mortgage Classic was Joohyung Kim, who finished in seventh place. In fact, Kim’s performances this season have been quite good, which is remarkable considering his status as a rookie on the PGA Tour.

In his five appearances prior to that tournament, Joohyung Kim finished in the top 5 twice, and will have the confidence to fight for the top spots again.

Dark Horse

Scott Stallings (Odds +6500)

Stallings is on fire and could well carry this momentum into the 2022 Wyndham Championship. The American has finished in the top 10 in his last four appearances, and although in between he missed the cut at the US Open and the Memorial Tournament, he could well be a golfer to consider in this tournament.
