MLS Week 13 will be played between Saturday May 21 and Sunday May 22. There were a few shocks in the midweek games, which caused some moves in the two conference tables; in this way, the teams will be seeking to maintain or prove themselves here.
1.- Columbus Crew vs. LAFC
Columbus Crew has only won two games so far this season and this is beginning to be cause for concern for their fans, since also in the last two games they were unable to win, a situation which has them in the second half of the Eastern Conference table.
For its part, LAFC has just suffered two consecutive losses and that caused them to lose the leadership of the Western Conference. In order to regain the position of honor, they must win this match, although it seems complicated since they have not won for three dates.
This game will be played on Saturday, May 21 at 12:30 p.m. PT in Lower Field.
2.- New York City FC vs. Chicago Fire
New York City FC is on a hot streak and heads into this MLS Week 13 clash with two straight wins. Their recent good results have put them in contention for the Eastern Conference title; they are now in second place, one point behind leader Philadelphia. Their main success is in the offense, being one of the two teams that has scored the most goals, with 23 goals in favor.
The New York team is the clear favorite in this match since the rival to beat is Chicago Fire, a team that has eight games without being able to win this season and only two wins in 12 games, which has the team immersed in the last position of the Eastern Conference.
This game will be played on Sunday, May 22 at 2:00 p.m. PT at Citi Field.
3.- Portland Timbers vs. Philadelphia Union
The Timbers are struggling with inconsistency this season and enter Week 13 of MLS after losing 3-2 to the San Jose Earthquakes, making it their fourth loss. A victory in this game could help them move up the rankings, but it will be a difficult challenge considering that they will face an opponent who has only lost one game.
The Philadelphia Union leads the Eastern Conference after only losing one of their 12 games so far this MLS season. They have six games without being able to win, but they are nonetheless the best team in their area and in general throughout the season.
This game will be played on Sunday, May 22 at 7:00 p.m. PT at Providence Park.
Inter Miami vs. New York Red Bulls
Inter Miami comes into this MLS Week 13’s matchup with a four-game losing streak. They have lost half of their games, which has put them in last place in the Eastern Conference.
New York Red Bulls have slowed down a bit, but they still have six games unbeaten in MLS and are the favorites for this game. A victory and a combination of results could allow them to reach the top of the Eastern Conference.
This game will be played on Sunday, May 22 at 3:00 p.m. PT at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.
