Perhaps the most shocking thing that happened in Week 6 involved the 49ers, who got stunned at home in a 19-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns. The 49ers were expected to crush the Deshaun Watson-less Browns, but Cleveland turned the table on San Francisco.
San Francisco saw both running back Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver Deebo Samuel exit the Browns game due to upper-body injuries. Both players are currently labeled questionable for Week 7 but are likely to play against the Vikings. Despite their loss to the Browns, the 49ers remain a very dangerous team on both ends of the field. They are second in the NFL with 30.7 points per game and No. 1 with only 14.5 points surrendered per contest.
Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (+7)
Regular season record: 2-4
Despite missing star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, the Vikings edged the Chicago Bears on the road last Sunday for a 19-13 victory. Jefferson has been put on the injured reserve due to a hamstring issue, so Minnesota will come into Week 7 missing its most dangerous offensive weapon.
However, the Vikings are not bereft of good options in the passing attack. T.J. Hockenson, Jordan Addison, and KJ Osborn will have to pick up the slack and help cover the huge void temporarily left downfield by Jefferson. There could also be a chance for Alexander Mattison and the Vikings’ ground attack to shine a week after San Franciso gave up 160 rushing yards to the Browns.
