The Austrian GP held from July 8 to 10 at the Red Bull Ring, had the expected excitement as the 11th race of the season. The drivers competing for the championship fought from start to finish for the podium at the Austrian GP, while the mid-table and below did not disappoint.
However, there were unfortunate situations for some, and although drama and anguish were present, the motorsport-loving public tried to ease the tension with memes.

Mexican driver Checo Pérez had several bad episodes this weekend. During qualifying for the Austrian Sprint race of the Austrian GP, he was penalized and had to start from position #13.
Pérez managed to come back in the sprint race and finished in the #5 position despite the penalty imposed by the FIA. Social media users created a meme to mock the FIA.
Checo Pérez started Sunday on the wrong foot, because despite having overcome the adversities in qualifying, on the first lap of the race he touched British George Russell’s car, what led checo to the gravel.
Early on, things were already going badly and the Aztec driver’s fans had no choice but to scoff at the misfortune.
While others, issued their hatred towards Russell for causing Checo to retire later in the Austrian GP.
There were also those who justified the Mexican and tried to console him from a distance.
When the Ferrari single-seater driven by Spaniard Carlos Sainz started to burst into flames, concern was present. However, once the driver was safe, the episode lent itself to a meme. Nobody escapes the memes!
Among all that happened at the Austrian GP, the strangest and funniest moment occurred during the awards ceremony. The graphics showed Checo Pérez as the winner and Carlos Sainz in second place, when both drivers did not even finish the race.
