Saúl Canelo Álvarez has been very active on his Twitter account in recent days and has dedicated himself to giving attention to those who talk about him. A UFC fighter who recently said he wanted to fight the Mexican fighter challenged Canelo again and got a response.
El Canelo Álvarez has already shown that he has a lot to give out, both in the ring and on social media. This time it was the turn of Kamaru Usman, the mixed martial arts specialist.
A couple of days ago, Usman’s trainer, Ali Abdelaziz, wanted to grab attention and said on Twitter that Canelo was afraid to face the Nigerian fighter and called him a ‘Chicken’. As expected, the man born in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, appeared on Twitter to answer him, and he did not do politely since he asked “Who the f— is this?”
Canelo Álvarez’s response was not well taken by Usman, who came to the defense of his trainer.
Things got really heated when the Nigerian challenged Canelo to a boxing match or an MMA fight.
“In the cage or in the ring I’m willing to find out in both,” Usman said.
Canelo Álvarez didn’t leave things at that and continued to attend to the UFC fighter, telling him to take his seat and wait his turn because it wasn’t his turn yet.
“You calling me out right? You want the pay day right? So you know where, but sit down it’s not your turn yet I have a legacy to make,” quotes the best pound for pound’s tweet.
Canelo Álvarez Prepares his Next Fight
As much as he is willing to face the Nigerian, the Mexican fighter is currently preparing for his fight against Russian Dmitrov Bivol. As he himself mentioned, it is not Usman’s turn yet, since he will first have to face the fight against Bivol on May 7 in Las Vegas, where the WBA light heavyweight title is at stake.
We don’t know if the fight between Canelo and Usman will actually happen, but at least there was entertainment for the fans on social media, and they didn’t have to pay to watch.
