Dejan Joveljić excelled in the MLS Week 14 match between LA Galaxy and Austin FC, and his performance earned him the MLS Player of the Week nomination.
The Bosnian striker had an exceptional performance in the 4-1 win against the Texan team, since he collaborated with two of the four goals and also provided two assists, participating in the four goals of the Los Angeles team.
A feat that does not happen very often and is that the last time an LA Galaxy player collaborated in four goals, it was none other than the Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimović in the 2018 campaign.
The most surprising thing about what Dejan Joveljić did is that the player came on as a substitute at minute 57, when the result was favorable by a score of 0-1 for Austin. Four minutes on the field of play were enough for him to help the team come back, since at minute 61 he provided an assist for Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, who equalized the actions.

The Serbian is the second player in the recent campaign to receive the player of the week distinction, as Chicharito won the award in Week 5.

After his appearance against Austin, Joveljić has three touchdowns and two assists this MLS campaign. He also registers two goals in the US Open Cup. If he continues to provide these performances, it is very likely that he will soon get a starting job in the Los Angeles team.
