Betting on the Los Angeles Dodgers (-145)
The Dodgers hope to finally end their slump this Tuesday when they send future Hall of Famer pitcher Clayton Kershaw to the mound. Kershaw carries an 8-4 record and a 2.95 ERA so far in the 2023 MLB regular season. In his last start, he allowed two earned runs on six hits and struck out five hitters in six innings of an 8-4 home loss to the Chicago White Sox on June 14.
Kershaw also has a 4-3 record and a 3.97 ERA in eight starts away from Dodger Stadium this season. Will Smith can continue this good stretch this coming Tuesday after batting .313 with a home run and four RBI in his last 16 at-bats, Freddie Freeman has not been playing up to par of late, but the Dodgers, who lost to the San Francisco Giants Sunday at home 7-3, always expect production from the former National League Most Valuable Player.

The Angels have some momentum going into this series against the Dodgers. The Halos are coming off a 5-2 victory on the road to finish a three-game series versus the Kansas City Royals. Reid Detmers will look to his keep the form of the Angels up as he toes the rubber for this series opener.
Deitmer picked up a no-decision in his most recent start, which was a solid one. He gave up just an earned run on three hits with eight strikeouts in 6.0 innings of a 6-3 road loss to the division-leading Texas Rangers on June 14. The Angels’ offense will also have Deitmer’s back, as Shohei Ohtani and company look to take advantage of the Dodgers’ struggling bullpen. The Dodgers have the second-worst relievers’ ERA in the majors — only the beleaguered Oakland Athletics have a worse one.
Starting pitcher: Reid Deitmers (1-5, 4.48 ERA)
