After the 33-year-old picked up his $47 million player option for the upcoming NBA season, not many teams can afford that salary. We leave you with a list of the betting favorites to take him away from the agony that has been Los Angeles for the player thus far.
4.- Charlotte Hornets (+500)
The Hornets have always been interested in Russell Westbrook, so they could be thinking about making a masterful move to take him.
According to Jason Reed on the Lake Show Life, Charlotte is thinking of giving up a first-round pick plus Gordon Hayward to the Lakers. They want to use this move to get out of the player’s multi-million dollar deal and retain not only Russell’s talents, but also salary cap space to keep Miles Bridges.

The Knicks are one of the teams with the most player acquisition rumors, and Russell Westbrook is one of them.
New York needs an experienced point guard who can handle the team, and the Knicks have first-round picks and some interesting players who could serve the Lakers well. What’s the problem with this? Westbrook does not appear to be a priority for the “Big Apple” team.

While bookies maintain the Pacers as one of the favorites to land Russell Westbrook’s services, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony showed us that this may be a long way from happening.
According to the journalist, Indiana has already rejected a significant proposal from the Lakers, and it is unclear whether they want to absorb Westbrook’s multimillion-dollar contract in the midst of a restructuring.

Westbrook’s return to the city where he began to shine in the NBA may be closer than many think, and even the betting odds are very clear.
Oklahoma City is the favored organization to acquire the point guard and according to Heavy.com’s Sean Deveney, a Western Conference executive confided to him that the Thunders are the best team to make the deal as they have the salary space to acquire the player, who can serve as a mentor to the talented group of young players that make up the team.
