Gabriel Jesús will have a new team for the next five seasons.

The Brazilian striker was on the lookout for a new destination after learning that Manchester City had strengthened its attacking line-up for next season. Having added players such as the Norwegian Erling Haalandand the Argentine Julián Álvarez, playing time for Gabriel Jesús with the “Citizens” would be more complicated.

Rumors began to place him in teams in other leagues, mainly in Serie A, aiming to be the possible reinforcement of Inter Milan. But in recent days it began to be said that two teams from the Premier League itself were interested in him.

The English press said that Tottenham and Arsenal were in the lead in the negotiations, but everything seems to indicate that between those two there is a winner who will get the striker’s services.

As reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano on his Twitter account, Manchester City has just accepted an offer from Arsenal for Gabriel Jesús. The Gunners will pay £45 million to City, and the Brazilian will be in the team until 2027.

Gabriel Jesús bids farewell to City after 5 years

Gabriel Jesús is 25 years old and has proven his quality by scoring goals for City, so it is no surprise that one of the league’s rivals has shown interest in him.

Gabriel Jesus reinforces Arsenal

The attacker began his career in Brazil with Palmeiras, but his good performance put him on the radar of City, who acquired him in 2017. He has had a successful career since joining the Manchester outfit, winning 11 titles, 4 Premier League titles, 4 League Cups, one FA Cup, and 2 Community Shields.

He participated in 236 games and registered 95 goals and 46 assists.

It should be remembered that Gabriel Jesús initially played a secondary role in the team and despite coming on as a substitute, he always responded. However, he was also a constant victim of injuries.

He will likely improve his record at his new team with more playing time and a little more experience gained from his time at City.
