This series in the 2022 NBA Finals may be about to end in Game 6, after the Golden State Warriors took a 3-2 lead against the Boston Celtics in the fifth game of the series and are now one victory ahead of a new championship.

After Andrew Wiggins fulfilled more than his defensive duties, Game 5 of the series saw the Golden State Warriors find offensive weapons outside of Stephen Curry, who has had the biggest role on the team in this series thus far.
Curry had a more modest night with 16 points, 4 rebounds and eight assists, while Wiggins was the leading scorer in that game with 26 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists, and also contributed to defense with a block and a steal.
To put up a good defense is a master plan, since all of Golden State’s wins in this series have seen them allow less than 100 points to their opponents. In this way, Wiggins won’t have to overlook his defensive duties while his teammates will have to chip in.

The Boston Celtics are on the ropes in this series, but they will surely appreciate being able to play with the encouragement of their fans at the TD Garden in order to force a decisive seventh game.
Jayson Tatum was again the star of the team in Game 5 with a total of 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists, while Jaylen Brown also contributed with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. However, getting better on defense could be key to the Celtics staying on top, as every player in the starting five combined for one steal and no blocks.
Defending takes on even greater importance considering that the Celtics have lost three of their last five home games this postseason, and with each loss seeing their rivals score 105 or more points. Therefore, the best defense in the regular phase of the season will have to show why they came to this final series with good credentials.

The Warriors have performed worse on the road than at home this postseason, averaging 113.2 points allowed in their last five games away from the Chase Center. This suggests that the Celtics may have a chance to win if they can establish themselves on defense and limit the damage that Curry, Wiggins, Thompson, and the rest of the team can inflict.
With all of the games in this series being so different, and none of them having been decided by fewer than 100 points, anything could happen; we believe, though, that the series will go to a seventh game courtesy of a Boston victory at home.
