The Guardians had this series in the bag after winning Game 3, 6-5, but were unable to put an end to the issue in a 4-2 loss yesterday: three of the four runs were scored by starter Cal Quantrill and Jose Ramirez and Josh Naylor were in charge of driving in their runs.
Cleveland will hope that Aaron Civale (starter) can do a much better job than Quantrill, although this may not be the case as the pitcher has allowed exactly two runs in his last four starts, even though all of them saw him participate in at least 5.0 innings.

The big hit has been the New York Yankees’ best friend this postseason, as a two-run homerun by Harrison Bader –his third in this series– served to make the difference in his team’s victory, aided by a superb performance by Gerrit Cole in which he pitched 7.0 innings and allowed just two runs.
However, another similar performance from their starter might be too much to ask as Jameson Taillon will be the one to appear on the mound this Monday, and the pitcher allowed 7 hits and four runs in his last appearance against the Rangers.

Taillon didn’t close the season in the best way either allowing 10 runs in his last four starts, and while the Guardians’ offense isn’t the best, some damage might be able to be done to it.
