Iowa State will look to stop its free fall this weekend. The Cyclones have lost all of their last four games after getting victimized by the West Virginia Mountaineers at home last Monday, 72-69. Their last two games have been at home, so being in a different environment could be the spark the Cyclones need to get it back to their winning ways.
Speaking of winning, Iowa State beat the Bears in the first meeting back in December at home, 77-62. In that game, Iowa State’s defense clicked. Baylor was held to only 37.7 FG% and 42.5 eFG%. Unlike the Cyclones, Baylor has gotten back to its winning ways. After two losses in a row to the Kansas Jayhawks and to the Kansas State Wildcats – both on the road – the Bears beat the Texas Longhorns at home last Saturday (81-72) and the Oklahoma State Cowboys (74-68) in Stillwater last Monday. Baylor’s offense will always be a threat.
The Bears are putting up 78 points per game. They can get hot from deep in an instant and when they do, buckets can come in bunches. Baylor is 15th nationally with 9.5 3-pointers made per game and has even drained at least 10 threes in five of its last six outings. The Bears are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games overall.
