Betting on the New York Knicks

The Knicks have the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference standings all locked up, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them rest some key players the rest of the way in the regular season. But even if they have the likes of Jalen Brunson and RJ Barrett sit out anew, New York has the depth to contend with New Orleans.
Without Brunson (rest) and Barrett (illness) in last Wednesday’s road game against the Indiana Pacers, the Knicks still pulled off a 138-129 victory, thanks in large part to the pair of Immanuel Quickley and Quentin Grimes, who finished with 39 and 36 points, respectively. Obbi Toppin must also be feeling good after going off for 32 points in the same game. The Knicks, who beat New Orleans at home on Feb. 25, are 5-0 in their last five outings while going 4-1ATS in the same stretch.
Betting on the New Orleans Pelicans

After getting blown out by the Sacramento Kings in a 121-103 home loss last Tuesday, the Pelicans rebounded right away and scored a 138-131 overtime victory against the Memphis Grizzlies at Smoothie King Center on Wednesday. Three Pelicans players mustered at least 30 points, led by Herbert Jones, who exploded for 35 points to go with seven rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.
CJ McCollum and Trey Murphy III had 31 and 30 points respectively. The Pels have the firepower to keep up and outlast the Knicks, especially if New York misses some of its key players again. Just the quality of some of New Orleans’ most recent wins is enough to make everyone notice the Pels, who defeated the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, and the Grizzlies over the course of their last four outings. New Orleans can also win with its defense. After all, the Pelicans are seventh in the league with a 112.6 adjusted defensive rating.
