The Liga MX final had its first leg on the night of Thursday, May 26 at the Jalisco Stadium. Atlas took a 2-0 lead over Pachuca on the scoreboard and although there are still 90 minutes left to play, the red and black fans are euphoric thinking about the two-time championship, and they have taken advantage of the victory to make some memes towards the Clausura 2022 Superleader.
The truth is that not only the fans of the athletic team were the ones who took advantage of the occasion. However, it’s better that you enjoy all the memes of the Liga MX final: Atlas vs. Pachuca for yourself.
Fans were not going to pass up the chance to make fun of the Tuzo team, which had the best regular-season performance and ended up as the overall winner.
Atlas won thanks to the goals of Luis Reyes and Julián Quiñones, but the great red and black hero was Colombian goalkeeper Camilo Vargas, since without him in goal it would have been impossible for the Guadalajara squad to finish the match with a clean sheet.
Vargas was in octopus mode, hitting out all the balls that approached him.
Canelo went to Atlas vs. Pachuca, but people didn’t like it very much
This is not a meme, but it did generate several reactions. The Mexican boxer, Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez went to the Jalisco Stadium to offer his support to the Atlas, but the soccer fans did not forgive that in the past he had already worn other shirts.
And speaking of the multi-shirt, a user remembered Club América which was eliminated by Pachuca in the semifinals and uploaded a photo that represents Americanism at this point in the tournament.
The author of the 2-0 was Julián Quiñones, who took off several rivals and made a long run towards the goal. The striker’s play was applauded by the fans, who also went out of their way to praise him.
Another funny fact of this matchup is that the Atlas Twitter account published the image of the squad, but one of the players could barely be seen.
Eventually, someone discovered that it was José Abella.
