The Anaheim Angels and Mike Trout are experiencing very difficult times in this 2022 Major League season after several events that occurred this Tuesday during their confrontation against the Boston Red Sox.
In addition to falling for the 13th time in a row, Anaheim’s biggest concern is the health of the outfielder, who had to leave the game after a double connected in the third inning due to a stiff right groin.

Mike Trout can’t avoid Angels’ worst losing streak
The painful 6-5 loss that Anaheim suffered against the Red Sox on Tuesday, in extra-innings, meant the 13th loss in a row this season, a figure that represents the longest in a single season for the organization.
Previously, between 1988 and 1989, the Angels had lost 13 in a row, losing the final 12 games of ’88 and the first one of ’89. In addition, the current Anaheim squad extends its record for the longest losing run by a team that was 10 games over .500 when the season began.
I’m not worried about the morale of these guys at all. You saw everyone’s effort today. Some at-bats were great and there were some good defensive plays… This was just a baseball game where we ended up on the wrong side.
