With just under a month to go before the start of the the 2022-23 American football season,in Las Vegas, the odds are already in the air, and in this edition JefeBet brings you the favorites to win the NFL OPOY (Offensive Player of the Year) award for the upcoming campaign.

Predictions, Picks, and Betting Preview for the OPOY Race in the NFL 2022-23 Season

10.- Nick Chubb (+2000)

OPOY NFL

With Deshaun Watson out for most of the season, Nick Chubb will return as the Browns’ offensive mainstay for the upcoming campaign. The running back has three consecutive seasons with at least 1,000 yards on the ground and eight touchdowns, something that could improve considerably in 2022 with a better offensive line and more touches of the ball.

9.- Christian McCaffrey (+2000)

OPOY NFL

After playing just 10 games in the last two seasons due to various injuries, Christian McCaffrey is ready to return to action with the Panthers and set impressive records once again. Being healthy, the running back is one of the best in the circuit and in 2019 he proved it by placing third in the OPOY NFL voting.

8.- Justin Herbert (+2000)

OPOY NFL

In just his third season in the NFL, quarterback Justin Herbert is considered one of the best in the circuit and with a team loaded with talent like the Chargers, many expect them to go far in the season. After 32 games, Herbert already has 9,350 yards and 69 touchdowns, so with a better team than in past seasons, it wouldn’t be surprising if he could improve on those totals.

7.- Lamar Jackson (+2000)

OPOY NFL

Lamar Jackson is one of the most talented quarterbacks on the circuit thanks to his ability to pass the ball accurately and run with it off the line of scrimmage. Although last year wasn’t the best for him, in 2019 he showed what he is capable of by winning MVP and finishing second for the NFL OPOY. All of which are records he could easily repeat in 2022 with the Ravens.

6.- Deebo Samuel (+2000)

OPOY NFL

Deebo Samuel recently signed a multi-million dollar extension with the 49ers and is ready to showcase his talents on the gridiron once again.

The San Francisco receiver, who is not afraid to double as a running back when called upon, is one of the most spectacular players in the league and therefore is not that far off in the odds to be the NFL OPOY. Last season, he finished with 1,770 yards and 14 touchdowns off the line of scrimmage.

5.- Davante Adams (+1500)

OPOY NFL

One of the best receivers in the NFL in recent years will wear a different uniform than the Packers for the first time after being traded this preseason to the Raiders.

Davante Adams will have a great quarterback in Derek Carr, who could get him his first NFL OPOY if he can help Las Vegas reach the postseason again. In three of his last four seasons, he has totaled more than 1,000 yards through the air, and, in 2020, he led the nation in TDs (18).

4.- Derrick Henry (+1400)

OPOY NFL

Due to a mid-season injury, Derrick Henry was unable to defend his OPOY NFL award earned in 2020. However, the Titans running back is more than ready to return to action this year and continue his dominant ground game that is virtually impossible for opponents to stop.

Two seasons ago he gained more than 2,000 yards on the ground, and, last season, in only eight games, he already had 937 yards.

3.- Justin Jefferson (+1200)

OPOY NFL

The Vikings are favored to fight the Packers for the NFC North. One of the reasons is the presence of young receiver Justin Jefferson, who in his first two seasons on the circuit has dazzled with his talent by gaining at least 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns in each of them.

With one more year of experience and a fairly solid Minnesota offensive line, Jefferson is among the favorites to win Offensive Player of the Year.

2.- Cooper Kupp (+1200)

OPOY NFL

Cooper Kupp begins his defense of the award as the runner-up in Las Vegas odds. The Rams’ wide receiver was enshrined as the NFL OPOY by winning the triple crown thanks to a spectacular performance that ended with the Super Bowl title. Kupp led the nation in receptions, yards through the air, touchdowns, and average air yards per game.

Most importantly, he has the talent and the team to repeat a similar performance.

1.- Jonathan Taylor (+900)

OPOY NFL

Only a performance of Cooper Kupp’s caliber, which also led his team to the postseason, could have left Jonathan Taylor second in the OPOY NFL voting last season. The Colts’ running back was unstoppable and led six running back categories, including the triple crown.

He was first in carries, yards on the ground, touchdowns, average yards per game, and yards and TDs off the line of scrimmage. Taylor is only 23 years old and eager to win the award in 2022.
