The departure of Davante Adams was undoubtedly a blow to the Green Bay Packers as they lost one of the NFL’s best receivers after he requested a change of team and turned down an offer similar to the one made by his new organization, the Las Vegas Raiders. That’s why the Green Bay Packers need to move quickly to have another weapon in the aerial game apart from Aaron Rodgers, who only has Randall Cobb and Aaron Lazard. The quarterback just signed the biggest contract in the history of the circuit and the Packers could give him another gift by getting one of these wide receivers in the market.

The greatest uncertainty about Beckham Jr. is when he will be fully recovered from his second cruciate ligament operation on his knee. He has the talent, in addition to the desire to play in Green Bay, a team that came close to signing him last year when he was released by the Cleveland Browns.

The receiver has a good number of suitors, including the Los Angeles Rams, with whom he just won the Super Bowl. That is related to the fact that there are many teams hopeful that his recovery will have him ready by the middle of the 2022 campaign, so if management wants to pair Rodgers with the player who has added five times 1,000 aerial yards in his career, they should not wait much longer.

3.-Julio Jones (Green Bay Packers Receivers)

While at 33 years old Jones is not the same one who played with the Atlanta Falcons, the talented receiver must still have something in the gas tank to play alongside Aaron Rodgers. Can you imagine the two upcoming Hall of Famers playing together this year on the Packers? The Green Bay fans could witness it if management is interested.

Despite the Tennessee Titans released him after suffering several injuries in 2021, it cannot be denied that Jones is considered the best receiver in the league in the last decade nor that his numbers are spectacular. Rodgers could have a WR with seven seasons over 1,000 yards by his side, including two NFL leads in that category.

With his 1.90 centimeters Jones has always been a nightmare for rival secondaries and in Green Bay he could meet Matt LaFleur, current head coach of the team and who in 2015 and 2016, two of Jones’ best seasons in the league, was an offensive assistant for the Falcons. In addition, the receiver no longer has the market value of a few years ago, so economically acquiring him could also be affordable for the organization.

2.- Brandin Cooks (Green Bay Packers Receivers)

Getting Cooks through change would be one of the best moves Brian Gutekunst could make to help Rodgers. Despite being an underrated receiver in the NFL, the 29-year-old has been one of the most consistent in his position and despite playing with four different teams, including two seasons with his current organization, the lousy Houston Texans, Cook has at least 1,000 yards through the air in six of his eight years in the league.

A possible arrival of Cooks would be a very interesting weapon for the Packers offense that stands out for its dynamism. In addition to being able to fulfill any function within the receiver body (playing inside the slot or being ready for a vertical attack), Cooks is also capable of running with the ovoid: something that Matt LaFleur loves.

The price of a possible trade with the Texans shouldn’t be that high since Cooks is in his final year of contract. So, the Packers should worry about restructuring the $12.5M base salary that the wide receiver has for 2022 and leave the rest to Rodgers.

1.- Jarvis Landry (Green Bay Packers Receivers)

Landry could easily be the best left-handed catcher in free agency with Julio Jones’ permission. The 29-year-old was released by the Cleveland Browns after four seasons, and while his last two weren’t so productive, he remains one of the best wide receivers in the league.

Since coming to the NFL in 2014 with the Miami Dolphins, Landry has done nothing but receive ovoids left and right, even despite playing on below-average teams like Miami and Cleveland. Imagine what he could do playing alongside Rodgers, as he not only specializes in road plays in the middle of the line of hitting, but also has the talent to beat defenders’ backs.

Landry could also bring durability to the receivers team as in 129 possible games in his career he has only missed six, while in his first six seasons he caught 564 ovoids, a record for the NFL. The Packers should make an effort if they want an experienced player on their team with the ability to be a leader, to change commitments with their plays, and to give extra value to the already feared offense of the Packers.
