Who are the most expensive players in the world? The International Center of Sports Studies, also known as CIES, just issued its list of market values for soccer players facing this summer’s transfer window (which promises a lot).
The roster is made up of 100 players, all of whom are currently playing in European football.
The highest rated player, according, to CIES is Kylian Mbappé, who returned to the top of the list after his renewal with Paris Saint Germain became known, and is now worth 205.6 million euros.
Behind him is the previous most valuable player in the world, Vinicius Júnior, with a value of 185.3 million euros, which suggests that Real Madrid almost had the two most valued players in the world in their roster.
Behind the two young stars stands a player that is currently doing very good: Erling Haaland, who is valued at 152.6 million euros and also has a bright future ahead of him. It is worth remembering that Haaland has agreed his transfer to Manchester City for next season, but the teams have not yet agreed on a sum of money for the move. This suggests that the “Skyblues” will have to put a significant sum of money on the table in exchange for the player.

The appearance of Luis Diaz is remarkable, being the only Hispanic American located among the ten best valued players, and who increased his value by just over 50 million euros compared to his signing for Liverpool just six months ago.
Lautaro Martínez is the other best-valued Hispanic American player, with a value of 106.7 million euros and a spot in the top 11.
Another interesting fact is that 41 of the players in the ranking are from the Premier League, demonstrating the league’s current economic dominance. If you want to look at the full list, you can do so here .
