Day 1 of the Apertura 2022 made it clear that Liga MX teams were eager to start the tournament and although some looked better than others, it has been a good starting point. There were crucial players in the overall performance in each of the 18 teams, and the players that performed the best are part of the Day 1 ideal team.
The players that appear in the Day 1 team were those who collaborated with good defensive actions, goals or assists, beyond the results of their teams.
Liga MX announced on its social networks the ideal team of the first round of the Day 1 with a 4-3-3 formation. The ideal XI also includes the coach who did the best at the start of the Apertura 2022.
Liga MX Ideal XI: The team of the week for Day 1 of the Apertura 2022
Here are the 11 most outstanding players.
In the goalkeeper position is Brazilian Tiago Volpi, who has arrived to strengthen Toluca’s lineup for the Apertura 2022. Although he allowed a goal in the 1-3 win over Necaxa, he did a great job under the three posts to prevent the opponent’s attacks.
The four defenders chosen were: Kevin Álvarez (Pachuca), Valber Huerta (Toluca), Paul Bellón (León) and Omar Campos (Santos) .
Álvarez was very active as usual on the right flank in the Tuzos’ 2-0 win over Querétaro. Huerta was on hand to help Volpi stop Necaxa. Paúl Bellón had an outstanding performance in his debut with León, after coming on as a substitute due to Tesillo’s injury. Campos fulfilled his role as left back and helped the team to a 4-3 victory over Monterrey.
The three midfielders: Ángel Romero (Cruz Azul), Israel Reyes (Puebla) and Rafael Baca (Cruz Azul).
The three players deserved to be in the ideal XI because, in addition to giving support for their teammates, they each scored a goal.
The three forwards: Avilés Hurtado (Pachuca), Fernando Aristeguieta (Puebla) and Harold Preciado (Santos).
The three players share victory for their respective teams as well as having scored a goal.
Furthermore, the 11 players on the ideal team are joined by coach Diego Aguirre (Cruz Azul), who made an excellent reading of the game and developed a style of play to defeat Tigres 2-3 at the Volcán.
This is how the Liga MX table is after the matches of Day 1.
Day 2 of the Apertura 2022 will kick off next Friday, July 8, and we’ll be ready for the show.
