Tom Brady will join the sports network once he decides to say goodbye to the gridiron for good. So now we know that the quarterback will continue to be linked to the sport when he no longer plays it.
Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch was on hand to give notice that they will be adding Tom Brady to be the NFL‘s lead analyst for the network.
Via a tweet, Murdoch made the announcement:
“We are delighted that Tom has committed to joining the Fox team and wish him all the best during this upcoming season.”
After that, a response from Tom Brady to that tweet appeared, in which he expressed his excitement, but assured that he remains committed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
“Excited, but with a lot of unfinished business on the field with the @Buccaneers #LFG.”
Tom Brady has announced his retirement and regretted it, so he will play at least one more season with the Buccaneers. Once the season starts, he will be 45 years old (he turns 45 in August) and will be the oldest player to be active.
The quarterback, who has the most Super Bowl rings in his possession (7), can play this season with the peace of mind that once he decides to leave the gridiron, he will have a job secured.
How Much is Tom Brady’s Contract with Fox Sports for?
Andrew Marchand from the New York Post, released on his Twitter account more details about Tom Brady’s contract with Fox.
According to the journalist, Brady signed a long-term contract and will be linked to the sports network for 10 years. And as expected, the contract is for an outrageous amount. The former New England Patriots player will receive $375 million for being a Fox analyst. His contract is the highest in the history of sports media.
Accordingly, Brady has a new record in his history, and this one is outside of sports. We don’t know when he will be sitting on the analysis table, for now we only know that this 2022, he will be playing his 23rd season in the NFL.
In the 2021 campaign, he led the league with 5,316 air yards and 43 touchdowns, and, in this season, the quarterback will likely look to match or surpass that record.
