As mentioned by the Las Vegas Mayor’s Office, this event is a tribute to life. It is created by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and Office of Cultural Affairs, and it seeks to honor the memory of family and friends who have passed away, in a fun and immersive environment.
There will be interactive activities for children, artisan vendors, food, face painting, special decorations and an exhibit of altars created by community organizations and groups.

Altar del Día de los Muertos
The Vegas Strong Resiliency Center will be presenting its traditional altar for the lives that were lost on Route 91. This will be a commemorative event in which there will be live mariachi music, taco vendors, a car show, fireworks, wrestling, taco and chili eating contests, and a Chihuahua beauty contest, in addition to the altar.
This event will be hrld on November 4, and up to November 6, from 5 to 10pm at the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center, located at 628 West Craig Road North. You can get your tickets here, even if it is a free event.
Celebration at Springs Preserve
This Día de los Muertos event combines rich customs with exciting activities for all ages. There is a live theater and dance performances, music and mariachis, entertainment games, arts and crafts, food vendors and so much more.
There will be a display of altars that local artists, residents and community groups have created to remember their lost beloved. Event attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite altars.

Music and food at La Vecindad
La Vecindad is a Chavo del 8 themed restaurant, which was created by a group of Mexican women, that will celebrate with live music, entertainment, arts and crafts vendors and so much more. Finally, the East Las Vegas Library is hosting a Dia de Los Muertos event for the entire community. At the event there will be live music, a car show and there is no doubt you will have a lot of fun. This is a completely free event that also aims to promote culture within the locals so that they will visit the library more, as well as feel encouraged to participate in other meetings.
This will take place from Saturday, October 29 until November 2 at different times. It is completely free and will be held at the East Las Vegas Library.
