It’s not all tires, engines, fuel and trophies in the life of the reigning world champion, Max Verstappen, he has also made time for love. Let’s go back to the point. Max Verstappen’s romance with Kelly came to light at the end of 2020, after the two were spotted together on the beaches of Brazil and made some posts on Instagram where they appeared together bidding farewell to the year and celebrating the arrival of 2021.
Since then the couple has been in the public eye, but not because she is the daughter of a former driver, but because before being the Red Bull driver’s partner, she had a relationship with another driver in the top category of motorsport.
Who Is the Other Driver Linked in Love Triangle?
This is Daniil Kvyat, Russian driver, who participated as Alpine’s reserve driver for the 2021 season.
Kvyat and Verstappen were teammates during their formative years at Red Bull, so they had a close relationship before they met Kelly. The Russian and the Brazilian started dating in 2017, when he was 23 and she was 29. The age difference was not an impediment for them to shout their courtship to the four winds.
In 2019, the love between Kelly and Daniil paid off and they became parents to a baby girl, whom they named Penelope.
To date, the reasons for the breakup with the Russian have not been disclosed, and despite the fact that those involved in this F1 love triangle are public figures, they have not lent themselves to generating scandal.
