It has been long since tattoos ceased to be considered taboo, and in the sports world they have become commonplace faster than many thought. As for Latin athletes, they have not been left behind with this trend and have put ink on their bodies for many various and different reasons.
Here is a list of the best tattoos of Latin athletes.

PSG’s Argentinean soccer player, Ángel Di María, has several tattoos on his body, and one of the most representative is the one that almost covers his entire left leg and represents the player’s life. Di María’s tattoo shows the Argentine flag, his beginnings in the city of Rosario, his house, some stars, and, obviously, a soccer ball.

Thanks to Dani Alves, Argentine Leo Messi has been overcoming his fear of tattoos and has now become a faithful follower of them. The PSG player has already inked several parts of his body, and one of the most representative is the one on his left leg, which features three very personal symbols along with an all-black covering.
On the back of his calf, he has the name of his first son, Thiago, next to the little boy’s hands. On the front, on the right side, he has a ball which represents Messi’s love for soccer, while on the left side he has tattooed the number 10, which historically represents the best players and which he has worn countless times.

The lion that Icardi has tattoed covers the entire front of his torso and signifies leadership and strength. Also, next to the feline you can spot two little cubs, a reference again to his daughters: Francesca and Isabella, names that also appear in large in the image. It seems that Icardi also wanted to send a message with his impressive tattoo, since when he posted it, he did so with the following caption: “more makes a lion silent than a barking dog.”
