The Austrian team, Red Bull Racing, won the race. The results were 1-2 with the Dutchman Max Verstappen and the Mexican Sergio “Checo” Pérez on the podium, who were followed by the Mercedes driver George Russell.
Precisely that podium generated controversy among Red Bull fans, since the team asked Checo Pérez to leave the first place to his partner when there were a few laps left to run. Although the Mexican complained about the injustice, he gave the position to the champion of the world.

We could believe that the outrage was typical of the Mexican public, but it was not, since the Argentine tennis player Juan Martín del Potro published a tweet in which he accused Red Bull of not letting Checo Pérez win.
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc left the race after leading and distancing himself from the rest of the drivers. His car lost power, he was forced to pit, and he was no longer able to continue. That caused him to lose the leadership of the Drivers’ Championship, and also that Red Bull outperformed Ferrari in the Constructors’.
