The 2023 NFL Draft will be held in Kansas City, Missouri in April as usual; this will be the first time this city has ever hosted one of the most important events in the NFL.
The city of Missouri will host the NFL event that will take place from April 27 to 29, 2023.
In order to recognize the importance of the event, the Kansas City Sports Commission, the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs released the news that they will host the 2023 NFL Draft.
The setting for the 2023 NFL Draft event will be Kansas City’s Union Station, a representative location in the city, which has a Museum and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The place is known perfectly by the fans of the Kansas City Chiefs since there were the celebrations when they were crowned champions of Super Bowl LIV, in addition, it also represented the end of the parade of champions.
Kathy Nelson, president and CEO of the Kansas City Sports Commission and Visit KC spoke of the magnitude of the event: “This will be one of the largest and most anticipated professional sporting events our city has ever hosted.”
Nelson expects several NFL fans to gather in the city for the 2023 NFL Draft, but he also knows that it will be the center of attention on television, since year after year the Draft has coverage on the most important networks: “Fans from all over the country will not only travel to experience the NFL Draft and the NFL Draft Experience, but millions of viewers will see Kansas City in the national spotlight on NFL Network, ESPN and other major networks.”
What is the 2023 NFL Draft?
The 2023 NFL Draft is an annual event hosted by the NFL that features outstanding college graduates who are eligible for the first time. NFL franchises have shifts to be able to select the players they consider can have a place in the assembly of their teams for the next season.
The first overall pick is made by the team that performed the worst in the previous NFL season.
This event usually takes place in the month of April and lasts for three days.
On the first day, the first round players are chosen, and on the second round the second, and third round selections are made.
On the third day of activity the remaining players in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds are chosen.
