Arizona Cardinals Star Visits Club America, Causes Stir Upon Arrival

The Arizona Cardinals will face the San Francisco 49ers in November in Mexico City and in order to promote that NFL in Mexico game, Markus Golden visited Club America.

Arizona Cardinals linebacker Markus Golden visited the Mexican capital to promote the game against their divisional rivals, the 49ers, which will take place on November 21, Monday Night of Week 11 of the 2022 NFL season.

Golden arrived on behalf of the Cardinals and spoke with many Mexican media outlets, saying he was amazed by the enthusiasm American football receives from Mexican fans. In an interview with El Universal, he said:

It means a lot because of all the fan support. I have heard that people want to see us play, and I am very excited. I will be sure to put on a great show for the fans in Mexico.

He also expressed his excitement at being able to play in Mexico to Diario Récord:

I am very very excited to play in Mexico. I haven’t stopped smiling since we were told, all my teammates are excited. Being here in Mexico just makes me that much more excited for the game.

The Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers will meet for the second time on the field at Estadio Azteca. Their first game in Aztec territory was on October 2, 2005 and the score was 31-14 in favor of the Arizona franchise.
