Moisés Solana

Moisés Solana Arciniega was a Mexican racing driver. He participated in eight Formula One World Championship Grand Prix. He made his first appearance on October 27, 1963, scoring no championship points on that occasion. He also participated in a non-Championship Formula 1 race.

In addition, he participated in Formula Two in 1968 with Lotus at the Jarama circuit near Madrid, Spain. His first racing events were in a 1954 special (the “Solana Sports”), built by Javier Solana.

Pedro Rodríguez

Pedro Rodríguez de la Vega was a Mexican Grand Prix motor racing driver. He was Ricardo Rodriguez’s older brother. His most notable successes were in Formula One, where he won the 1967 South African Grand Prix driving a Cooper-Maserati and the 1970 Belgian Grand Prix in a BRM.

Additionally, in the World Car Sports Championship, he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a Ford GT40 in 1968, and the World Motorsport Championship title twice. He died on July 11, 1971, while racing a Ferrari during an Interserie sports car race in Nuremberg, West Germany.

Héctor Rebaque

Héctor Alonso Rebaque is a former Mexican racing driver who raced in Formula One and CART IndyCar in the 1970s and 1980s. He also incarnated for his own Formula One team called Rebaque in 1978 and 1979. Although he did not have any victories, this driver started 41 races and scored 13 points during his career.

Esteban Gutiérrez

Esteban Gutiérrez is a Mexican racing driver who currently represents Mercedes in Formula One, Formula E, eSports and the Inter Europol Competition in the World Endurance Championship.

In 2008, Gutiérrez won the Formula BMW European Championship title, becoming the youngest Mexican driver to win an International Championship at the age of 17. He also won the inaugural GP3 season in 2010. With the Lotus GP team in 2012, he became the first GP3 graduate to finish in the top three in the premier GP2 series.

Sergio “Checo” Pérez

Finally, Sergio Michel “Checo” Pérez Mendoza is a Mexican racing driver who competes in Formula One for Red Bull Racing, having previously driven for Sauber, McLaren, Force India, and Racing Point.

He won his first Formula One Grand Prix at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, breaking the record for the number of starts before a race win at 190. He also earned his first Formula 1 pole position at the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, breaking the record for the most races before a first pole position to 215.

Checo Pérez is, to date, the best Mexican Formula 1 driver of all time with 3 wins, 22 podiums, 1 pole position, 9 fastest races, and 1106 race points.
