Denny Hamlin (+450 on DraftKings)
Hamlin definitely is a driver to watch out for in this race, considering the fact that he has a total of six career wins at Pocono Raceway. That includes his win here in 2020 in the Pocono 350. He also already has a win this year with five top 5s and eight top 10s. His 601 points are the sixth-best on the season, thus far.
Martin Truex Jr. (+600 on DraftKings)
Truex is just coming off a win, as he snatched the checkered flag last week in the 2023 Crayon 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. That was his third win of the season, seventh inside the top five, and 10th top-10 finish this season, thus far. He has won two races over his last five starts, and will also be entering this week’s race with two wins in 33 career appearances at Pocono Raceway. Last year, he was seventh in the 2022 M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400.
Kyle Busch (+650 on DraftKings)
Busch posted just a 35th-place performance last week at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but he’s still one of the top drivers this season. He is third with 593 points, thanks in large part to his three victories. Busch, who most recently won last June in the 2023 Enjoy Illinois 300 presented by TicketSmarter, has four wins at Pocono Raceway through 35 starts there.
Sleeper Picks
Daniel Suarez (+2500 on DraftKings)
Suarez cooled off after finishing with a runner-up finish at the Quaker State 400 available at Walmart in Atlanta, as he ended up just 35th in last week’s Crayon 301t New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Keep in mind that Suarez is just below the playoff cut line at the moment, so expect him to go all out this week as he attempts to sneak inside the playoff picture. Suarez finished third at Pocono Raceway in last year’s M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400.
Brad Keselowski (+3000 on DraftKings)
Keselowski has yet to win this season through 20 starts, but the drough could finally end this week. The RFK Racing driver, who is 13th in the standings with 539 points, is coming off back-to-back top 10s and also has a career-average finish of 10.7 at Pocono Raceway. He has winning experience here, as he topped the Good Sam RV Insurance 500 way back in 2011.
Dark Horse
Erik Jones (+10000 on DraftKings)
Jones is not exactly having a fantastic season, as he is just 28th overall in the standings. However, Jones has three top 15s in his last three starts with an eighth-place finish in the 2023 Ally 400 and an 11th-place finish in each of his last two starts. Also take note that Jones has a career average finish of 13.9 at Pocono Raceway with five top 5s and seven top 10s.
El Jefe’s Prediction on 2023 HighPoint 400
Kyle Busch is going to have a strong rebound from his last race and finish atop this Sunday at Pocono Raceway.
