On Friday night, Avalanche fell for the second time in a row at a home game against against a surprising Kraken, after losing to the Jets in overtime last Wednesday.
Colorado’s powerful offense, which led them to win the Stanley Cup last season, has been nowhere to be seen in the three losses they have experienced . They scored three goals against Calgary and two against Winnipeg.
After the Kraken went up 2-0 in the second period, Evan Rodrigues brought the Avalanche closer with his first goal of the season late in the second period, and Bowen Byran tied the game nearly seven minutes into the third period.
However, Seattle, fired 38 shots to the goal and Colorado just 20, which sealed the game and the victory with a goal scored when there were just eight minutes remaining. Now the Avalanche must travel to Las Vegas to take on the Pacific Division leaders.
